Referring to the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2021 amendment to Law Number 16 of 2004 concerning the Attorney General's Office of the Republic of Indonesia, the Attorney General's Office as a law enforcement agency is required to play a more active role in upholding the rule of law, protecting public interests, upholding human rights, as well as the eradication of Corruption, Collusion and Nepotism (KKN). In this new Prosecutor's Law, the Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Indonesia as a government institution whose function is related to the judicial power that exercises state power in the field of prosecution and other authorities based on the law independently, regardless of the influence of government power and the influence of other powers.
