PT. Bank BCA Syariah ("BCA Syariah") was established and started to carry out business activities with sharia principles after obtaining a sharia operating license from Bank Indonesia based on BI Governor Decree No. 12/13/KEP.GBI/DpG/2010 dated 2 March 2009 and then officially operated as an Islamic bank on Monday 5 April 2010.

Bank Mandiri was established on 2 October 1998, as part of the bank restructuring program of the Government of Indonesia. In July 1999, four state-owned banks - Bank Bumi Daya, Bank Dagang Negara, Bank Exim and Bapindo - were amalgamated into Bank Mandiri. The history of these four banks can be traced back to over 140 years, and together they had contributed to the beginning of the Indonesian banking sector. The Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) is a central institution (focal point) that coordinates the implementation of efforts to prevent and eradicate money laundering crimes in Indonesia. Internationally, PPATK is a Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) which has the task and authority to receive financial transaction reports, carry out analysis of financial transaction reports, and forward the results of the analysis to law enforcement agencies.
