The company was founded as the evolution of cooperation PN Telecommunications and Siemens AG in 1966. This cooperation continues to the formation Factory Telephone and Telegraph (PTT) as part of the LPP Postel in 1968. In 1974, this part of the LPP Postel separated into a Limited Liability Company under the auspices of the Directorate General of Post and Telecommunication. The company is based on the establishment of the Indonesian Government Regulation No: 34 of 1974 dated 23 September 1974 concerning remittance of capital for the establishment of the Republic of Indonesia (Persero) in the Telecommunications Industry and the Decree of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Indonesia No.: Kep-1771/MK / IV/12/1974 dated December 28, 1974 on the Establishment of the Company's capital.
