Based on the IDIC Law, the IDIC is an independent institution functioning as the deposit insurer of bank customers. IDIC actively promotes the banking system’s stability in accordance with its authorities.
IDIC has two main functions as mandated by the IDIC Law, namely to insure banking customer deposit and to maintain banking system stability.
With those functions, IDIC performs tasks such as formulating and setting up policy on deposit insurance implementation and banking system stabilty, and conducting deposit insurance.
The other duties include formulation, establishment, and implementation of bank resolution policy with no systemic impact.
