PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk or Bank BTN  was established in 1897 under the name of Postspaarbank. The name was changed to Bank Tabungan Pos in 1950 and finally became Bank Tabungan Negara in 1963. Bank BTN listed its stock offering on 17 December 2009 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, and was the first Indonesian bank to securitize asset by recording Asset Backed Securities - Collective Investment Contracts (KIK-EBA).

Description

• The Audit Committee is tasked with supporting the Board of Commissioners in carrying out supervisory function, including monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the internal control system, assessing the implementation of audit activity and result carried out by the Internal Audit Work Unit and external auditor, reviewing financial information to be released by the Bank, and reviewing compliance with provision relating to the Company's activities.

Terms and Selection Criteria

• Minimum Bachelor's degree and preferably Master's degree, with an educational background in Finance, Accounting, Law or Banking
• Aged less than 65 (sixty five) years old, preferably domiciled in the Jabodetabek area
• Have an Audit Committee Professional Certification, Banking Risk Management Certification, or other equivalent certification in the fields of finance, accounting, corporate governance, law and compliance
• Preferably experienced working in sectors related to banking
• Have good integrity and knowledge and work experience that supports the duties of Audit Committee member
• Have no personal interest / relationship that could have a negative impact or conflict of interest on the Company
• Able to communicate effectively
• Able provide sufficient time to complete the tasks
• Must understand bank business financial report, especially those related to bank service or business activity
• Must understand business process and banking operation, audit, risk management, and law and regulation in the Capital Market sector as well as other related laws and regulations
• Not holding concurrent positions on the Board of Commissioners / Supervisory Board, Committee Member or other positions in other SOE / Company, which are not permitted by statutory regulation
• Not a person who works or has the authority and responsibility to plan, lead, control or supervise BTN activities within the last 6 (six) months except for Independent Commissioner
• Willing to comply with the Audit Committee code of ethics established by BTN
• Willing to continuously improve competence through education and training
• Not an employee / affiliated with a Public Accounting Firm, Legal Consultant Firm, Public Appraisal Services Firm, or other party that provides assurance, non-assurance service, appraisal service and / or other consulting service to BTN within the last 6 (six) months
• Does not have direct or indirect share in BTN. In the case of having share in BTN, these share must be transferred to another party in accordance with statutory provision
• Has no affiliation with members of the Board of Commissioners, members of the Board of Directors, or Major Shareholder of BTN
• Has no direct or indirect business relationships related to BTN's business activities.
